step 1:
Let’s agree on this upfront—I’m going to teach you to think like an entrepreneur and put on your business glasses, ready?

Any business starts with what? Right, the client and their needs.
To build a business that generates income, we need to understand exactly who your client is and learn everything we can about them. This is the first and most important step.

Who is your client?
Ira's clients are people from the CIS who moved to the US and Canada and want to improve their speech to be better understood by locals.

To start, let’s determine who your target audience is.
  • Could it be high school seniors preparing for the SAT?
  • Or private school students who are struggling with their studies and need to meet high standards?
  • Or perhaps expats who need to adapt and understand local culture and history?

We study the client through problem interviews
Next, we need to deeply understand our target audience. We conduct problem interviews to uncover their needs, pains, fears, and desires.

You might be thinking: “Interviews? How do I even do that? It sounds complicated!”
But don’t worry—I’ve got ready-made templates and instructions for you. All you need is curiosity and a genuine interest to learn more about your client.

For example, when Ira conducted her interviews, she discovered that her audience wanted to feel confident in conversations, stop fearing "small talk," and finally be able to order a cappuccino without the fear of being misunderstood. All of these insights helped her craft her unique offer.

Business Model
step 2:
And of course, this lever is about increasing the number of "seats" without sacrificing quality.

How can you do that?

  • Transition to group classes
When you teach not just one student, but several at a time, you increase your income without increasing the amount of time you spend on lessons. Although this is a great first step, it still relies on you, and there’s a limit to how many students you can manage.

  • Recorded online course
Move your expertise into an online course format, and now you can teach students anytime, without being tied to specific hours.

  • Hiring teachers
You can hire teachers to conduct one-on-one or group lessons.

  • Hybrid model
Ira has implemented a hybrid model, where the core of the course is recorded, and phonetics instructors lead additional practice sessions and provide feedback to students. This offers a unique blend of automation and personalized attention, allowing her to scale her business while maintaining quality.

Each business model has its own pros and cons, and you’ll need to choose the one that works best for you, based on your personal strengths and preferences. Wondering how to develop a business model that’s perfectly tailored to you? I’ll explain at the end of this article.

But for now, let’s break down how to fill your course or your teachers’ schedules with students, while also filling your pockets with new income and opportunities.

Mastering Sales
step 3:
Sales isn’t magic—it’s a skill that can be developed. And trust me, you can become a sales expert if you follow a proven system.

Why is this important?
To grow your business, having a great product or the perfect course just isn’t enough. Even if I bring you 500 leads, they may not turn into revenue if you don’t know how to sell. You need to understand how to sell, and more importantly, how to sell effectively.
Your goal isn’t just to explain how you can help—it's to transform the client's needs and pains into a burning desire to buy your course.

How to become a sales master?
Learn the sales method.
You don’t need to be a super persuasive speaker. Sales isn’t about how well you talk; it’s about how well you listen, understand your potential client, and give them exactly what they need.

It's important to realize that sales is a structured system with clear steps:
  1. Identify needs
  2. Present your offer
  3. Close the deal
  4. Handle objections
My students learn this in just one week and turn every 2-3 cold leads into money. Most importantly, they stop fearing sales and actually begin enjoying the process.

“I started by learning how to sell one-on-one, accepting rejections, analyzing mistakes, and not seeing rejection as failure, but as an opportunity to learn. I started writing down what people said, and I began enjoying the process.”

Create a Sales Funnel
This could be a meeting, an interview, a one-on-one session, or a webinar. The goal is the same: you need to be able to engage the person and show them the value of your course. A sales funnel is what transforms a potential client’s mindset from “Let’s see what you have here” to “Shut up and take my money.”

“I remember my first webinar—I made $30,000. I got a taste for it and finally understood why this was so important. Before, I didn’t get why people were so stressed about it. But it had a huge impact on my income growth.”

Right now, the word “sales” may make you uncomfortable, and it might seem hard, but the truth is—it’s just a skill that’s esy to master with consistent practice. I’ll show you exactly how to do that at the end of this article.

But for now, let’s talk about how to finally free up your time for life, travel, family, learning, and the things that matter most to you.
Delegation
step 4:
What’s the key difference between an entrepreneur and a teacher (or any other expert)?

The answer is simple: an entrepreneur gets results through the efforts of others.

Let’s be honest: Have you ever dreamed of cloning yourself so you could do more and accomplish more? That might sound like a dream, and it’s absolutely achievable. Delegation is exactly what turns that dream into reality.

Let’s put on our "business glasses" and look at your work from a fresh perspective—as a business. In business, there are three key departments:
  1. Marketing
  2. Sales
  3. Product

Now, answer these questions:
  • How many hours per week do you spend on attracting new clients?
  • How many hours do you spend on sales?
  • How much time do you dedicate to fulfilling your commitments to students?

Imagine that 40 hours a week are dedicated to marketing, 40 hours to sales, and 40 hours to working with clients—and none of it is done by you. You’re managing the system, developing amazing products, and earning from it! What would be possible for you then?

Yes, it’s not an easy task, and it may take a year or more, but it’s worth it. Delegation is the step that will help you stop being a craftsman and start earning higher amounts.

How do we start delegating?
  • The first step—assistant. This is the most "affordable" help that handles routine tasks. Tasks like managing schedules, sending reminders to students, answering basic questions—all of this can be delegated to an assistant. This frees up your time for more important tasks, and you begin working with your brain, not the small details.

  • Next—delegating the product. This includes checking homework, preparing materials, and other tasks directly related to the product you offer, depending on your business model.
"We increased our ‘seating capacity’ by hiring more phonetics instructors, which was a game-changer. It boosted our results significantly. We’ve built an internship system within the school so that students only get experienced instructors. Nobody gets a student right away—they go through a filter of experienced mentors first."

  • The next step—delegating sales. A sales manager will handle client interactions, handle objections, build trust, and close deals. They’ll also work with the database and manage student renewals.
"I can't imagine my business without a sales department. It brings me $15,000 a month. It might not be perfect, but it works and brings in stable income. Sales are done by others. Sometimes I sell myself to stay in touch with people and understand what they’re saying."

  • The final step—delegating marketing. Advertising, social media content, analytics—all of this can be outsourced to specialists who will ensure a steady flow of clients.
"When you do everything yourself, you become the bottleneck in your own company and can’t really get anything done. You’ve really helped me get my face out of so many processes. I continue to do this, but now we’ve hired an SMM specialist. I no longer have to color letters in my own stories. Another person writes scripts for stories and reels, handles all the design, and edits them."

So, what’s left for you?
Management
step 5:
Team, KPIs, motivation, hiring and firing systems, digital thinking, metrics, decomposition, strategy, financial planning—right now, all of this might seem like very scary and unclear words to you.

But believe me, they are just tools, each with its own structure, instructions, and purpose, which are very easy to implement to make your business a manageable machine.

  • "There was so much work done on digital thinking thanks to you. I resisted for a long time, didn’t want to count, was scared of the whole thing, but it finally clicked."
  • "We developed a hiring system. We figured out how to hire people, what to test them on, and what to look for. I didn’t have to do all the interviews myself anymore. I just got the final decision."
  • "Now, my main task is to sit and think about what else I can do with my life, because my team handles everything else."
Scaling
step 6:
Now that you have a functioning business, a team in place, and well-established processes, it's time to soar. Strategy, new markets, new products. This is for those who want more. For those who want to create something big.

Or, as an alternative, you can stay a small, cozy school—believe me, that’ll be enough to live on. 😊

Right now, this path might seem complicated to you, with thousands of details and nuances. Unfortunately, to explain everything here, I’d need to write 500 pages, and I know you definitely wouldn’t read it all.
But let’s take the first small step: Let’s create your personal business strategy to help you go from “Teacher to Entrepreneur.”

I invite you to a strategic session, where we will:
  • Create a roadmap to your desired goals
  • Break down and calculate what and how you need to sell to reach an additional $5,000/month in the next 3-5 months
  • Choose the optimal business model that will work best for you
By the way, let me introduce myself— I’m Tatiana, and a few years ago, I was a math teacher. Then I created my own exam preparation school, and by the second year of operation, we earned $500,000/year while I worked 8-14 hours a week. After that, I sold the business and returned to teaching, but this time, I became a "business tutor."

During this time, I’ve already helped over 40 teachers launch from scratch and developed my own system that will help you earn an extra $5,000 to your monthly income within the next 3-5 months, and in 1-1.5 years, earn an extra $10,000.
Yana
"This is crazy! It took us a long time, it was hard at the beginning, but now I think it's the best thing that ever happened to me. So, I liked it very much, and I know that everybody's interested in numbers. Let’s say that this school for adults, the one I’m talking about, is generating about €5,000/month, and I plan to do that this summer without me teaching groups."
Alena
"I wanted to do something else. I have accumulated a wide knowledge base that I wanted to pass on to others. That’s why, thanks to Tatiana, I now have a language school called Vindeskogen Norskoplæring, where I have five highly professional Norwegian language teachers whom I work with.
Could I have done it without Tatiana’s help? Honestly, I don't think so. I would have most likely started, but I would have definitely quit. Tatiana answers all my business questions and even personal ones—she's also my coach. She doesn't let me quit."
